Super Sunday is just around the corner, with the New York Giants and the New England Patriots matching up. New England has a high-powered offense, with Tom Brady at the quarterback position, along with Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, along with others. Their defense has not been great throughout the year, but have come through when they had to in crucial moments. For example, CB Sterling Moore knocked the ball out of Lee Evans hands to prevent the game-winning TD in the AFC championship game. Vince Wilfork has also been a force up the middle, and the rest of the defense has played well enough in the postseason to get them to the Super Bowl. On the other team, the Giants are a very balanced team, having Eli Manning throw to very talented wide receivers. Also, Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul control the defense. With people like Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks, and Mario Manningham to throw to, along with Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs to run with, they have a good offensive attack. On the defensive side of the ball, they have a great d-line, with JPP, Justin Tuck,  and Osi Umenyiora being the three leaders. They also have Corey Webster, Aaron Ross, and others in a very good defense.

This is a rematch from Super Bowl XLII, when the Giants drove down the field in the final minute, having David Tyree catch the ball on his helmet, and Plaxico Burress catching the game-winning TD. This catch gave them the win, upsetting the 18-0 Patriots, denying them perfection. That game was a  heart breaker for Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots squad, and might have some of a revenge factor in this Super Bowl. These teams have played earlier this year as well, when the Giants won 24-20. Since the Patriots have lost the last two meetings, they come into this game with a desire to win. Both of these teams are definitely ready to play this game, and both have a good chance of winning.

Now to make a pick on this game is just a bit difficult. Both of these teams are very good, and are both coming in hot. There are questions for both teams now. The Patriots are wondering if Rob Gronkowski will be healthy, and they need to figure out a defensive scheme to stop the Giants in the passing game. They also need to come with an offensive scheme for the offensive line to get protection for Mr. Brady. The Giants on the other hand need to work around the fact that most likely, the Patriots secondary will try to take Victor Cruz out of the game. They have other weapons, yes, and also need to get a running game going to have a balanced attack. This will definitely be a close game, and will come down to the wire. The team that has the ball last will most likely win this game, and the Patriots need to sack Eli Manning and stop the Giants to give their team a chance. Will Eli get his second ring in four years, or will Tom get his fourth? I think that the score will be………………….

Giants 24 Patriots 21

Eli can now have more rings than his brother, and Tom will be denied a ring again by the New York Giants.
