Many people think once again this season that Todd Hailey should be on the hot seat.  The Chiefs, for a four game stretch this season, seemed like they could do something this year and turn around their 0-3 start.  Many people were starting to believe in this team again and most of the fans, including me, thought there was no way that the Chiefs, who were then on a four game win streak, could possibly lose to the seemingly awful 0-7 Miami Dolphins.  Those awful Dolphins destroyed Kansas City in a 31-3 blowout, and I think many KC fans pushed this lose off as they thought our team was just looking past Tony Sparano and Miami.  It had looked to some like that KC had maybe just needed a little extra practice time to get ready for the Regular Season.  Others thought that the Chiefs were just lucky in winning those four games and they couldn’t sustain this success  for a long period of time.  It now seems that the fans who thought our turn around was just luck, were indeed right all along.  Then this last week we lost an embarrassing loss to the Denver Broncos.  In this game Tim Tebow attempted 8 passes (pretty much half being short forward pitch) and completed 2 of them, one of which being for a TD.  The Broncos some how found success almost every single time they ran, even after they lost the first string and second string running backs in the first series.  It astonished me how time after time the Chiefs only put seven in the box when it was nearly obviously that they were about to run the football.  The Broncos ran the ball a total of 55 times and 30 of those came from the 3rd string RB, they ended up with 244 rushing yards.  It is still making me wonder what Todd Hailey and Romeo Crennel were thinking during the game when the run was practically being called on every play and they refused to respond and try to do something about it.  In my opinion they should have stacked guys in the box as if in a goal line and have three defensive backs go out in zone to stop the unlikely pass.  I think it shows what kind of coach Todd Hailey has been recently, it shows that he has been lackadaisical, indecisive, and doesn’t want to risk it on a 4th and 2.  Also I think that when he has tried to do something different with the running attack for instance, in the past few games he has tried to have Jackie Battle run outside and Dexter McCluster up the gut, and that hasn’t worked.  To a logical person that doesn’t seem like a good idea to run the quick, small, and agile back up the middle and the big, short yardage, grind it out, and strong back to the outside on a pitch.  If he continues to okay things like that I think Hailey will become a detriment to the team and he may hinder our cities’ success.  If Todd keeps doing the things he is doing right now I think he should be fired.  Even if our team just does poorly this season I think that he should still be fired.  One of the things that has certainly not helped our teams’ success is the loss of Tony Moeaki, and let us not forget if Todd Hailey would have done the sensible thing and not play the starters more than a few snaps in the fourth game of the Pre-Season then Moeaki would still be out there this season helping our team.  I think that Scott Pioli and the Chiefs organization need to be asking themselves,  about the head coach, “What have you done for me lately?”  With all of those points in mind I think Todd Hailey’s seat should be burning hot, but I don’t think it is because of how much Scott Pioli likes his coach.  I think Todd Hailey should be on the hot seat, and possibly, if things don’t turn around, he should be fired at the end of the season.  I want to know what you guys think about our head coach.
